Beresford’s Lost Villages

Publications

Back to Villages

Presented below is a list of publications on deserted medieval settlement. This is NOT an exhaustive list, and will be constantly under review. It however does present some of the key publications on medieval settlement, and provides a list of county-based reviews of desertion. Specific information on particular sites can be found on their individual pages. For a fuller list of publications by Maurice Beresford, please see his pages on this website. We also provide here links to online resources for the study of settlements.
